Home inspections of Daly City single family homes, condominiums, townhouses and multi-unit buildings are performed in all Daly City neighborhoods, including Westlake, St. Francis Heights, Serramonte, Top of the Hill, Hillside, Crocker, Southern Hills, Original Daly City, Bayshore and others.
Extending from the San Francisco city limits south to the sprawling Serramonte Shopping Center, and from the Pacific bluffs to Interstate 280, Westlake forms the major part of Daly City. It was built in the late 1950's by Henry Doelger and It follows a "neighborhood unit" principle, with homes having an elementary school at its center with no through traffic. There is a recreational open space system, and a town center complex of shopping, community, and high school facilities. There is a mixture of French Provincial, Colonial, and Modern homes with the 50's modern ranch style home perhaps the most characteristic. Some homes have ocean views, and some are located on always-trimmed golf courses.
Daly City is a coastal community located at the northernmost edge of San Mateo County. Sharing a common border with the City/County of San Francisco, Daly City is known as the "Gateway to the Peninsula." The City's area extends from the Pacific Ocean on the west and nearly to San Francisco Bay on the east. Daly City abuts on San Bruno Mountain, a State and County Park which features the highest peak in the area's hilly terrain. Daly City is San Mateo County's largest city by population and is conveniently located just eight miles south of downtown San Francisco.
